Nissi Jonathan is the founder and principal of United Charter High School for Advanced Math and Science III (AMS III), an Engineering Academy in Brooklyn. An immigrant and first-generation college graduate, she leverages her 20+ years in education to act as a changemaker in her community and a fierce advocate for women’s financial freedom. Nissi holds an MA from City College CUNY, an Ed.M from Columbia University, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Columbia. Outside of her work at AMS III, she is an adult development coach, a minister and church board member, a mentor, and a proud wife and mother of two.
